Your prayer is "authenticated" by the "Name". Otherwise, which "god" are you praying to? There are so many so called "gods" out there, and they've all got different names too! Thus, God has given us the name for "authentication". It is the Key that unlocks the door to heaven. If you're talking to Him, you use the NAME. If you want something from Him, you use the NAME.
If you're in the military and you're accustomed to the rules of security, you realize you have to go through various processes in order to authenticate certain commands and verify that they are authentic. You understand this concept very well. Such is true when it comes to the name of Jesus. He is the name above every name and must be used to validate and verify you have accepted the one and true God. He that receives the son receives the Father. He that hath NOT the son hath NOT the Father (read St. John 3:18). If we do not acknowledge the son we do not have the Father (1 John 2:23). Again, the scriptures say, "Joh 5:23 That all men should honour the Son, even as they honour the Father. He that honoureth not the Son honoureth not the Father which hath sent him."
John 14:13 - And whatsoever ye shall ask in my Name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son
John 15:16 - Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain: that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my Name, he may give it you
John 16:23 - And in that day ye shall ask me nothing. Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall ask the Father in my Name, he will give it you.
Acts 2:21 And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the NAME of the Lord shall be SAVED.
So, I submit to you. What is that NAME, and Who is that SAVIOR? I only know of ONE the Bible declares who is the SAVIOR.
JESUS IS THE WAY TO SALVATION
Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.
THERE IS NO OTHER NAME UNDER HEAVEN WHEREBY WE MUST BE SAVED
Act 4:10: Be it known unto you all, and to all the people of Israel, that by The Name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom ye crucified, whom God raised from the dead, even by him doth this man stand here before you whole.
Act 4:11: This is the stone which was set at nought of you builders, which is become the head of the corner.
Act 4:12: Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.
NONE: no one; not one; no part; nothing;to no extent; in no way; not at all
JESUS IS THE DOOR TO THE SHEEPFOLD
I am the door: by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture. I am the good shepherd: the good shepherd giveth his life for the sheep. (John 10:9,11)
DOOR: a movable, usually solid, barrier for opening and closing an entranceway
This means you cannot be a sheep unless you go through JESUS (“I am the door…”). Everything can’t come through a door either because it’s there to be a barrier. It’s opened and closed at the discretion of the porter. Anyone can’t get through! ONLY the sheep. Don’t forget, a shepherd is a protector.
What is the significance of being a sheep?

If you are not a sheep, you are a goat. Sheep need to be protected because of their nature, they are more gullible and docile.
DOCILE: 1. easily managed or handled; tractable; 2. readily trained or taught; teachable
GULLIBLE: easily deceived and cheated
They resist Everything!Goats don’t think they NEED no protection! They are always fighting for themselves and among themselves! The goats will not enter into the sheepfold. It’s not even their own will. They don’t have the same nature as sheep. They’re stubborn and not easily led. They get no pleasure out of grazing with them. They don’t think alike! (Can two walk together, except they be agreed? (Amo 3:3) )They don't even have the same faces! You can see it in their faces that they have different natures--pride vs. humility.
They will not graze in the comfort of the Holy Spirt. They will NOT be led by the Holy Spirit. Why? Because “Goats” have a “But” for everything and anything that the Holy Spirit has to say, whether it’s by the Spirit or through the person of someone. They’re contrary and always want things to go their way. They do not have the same Shepherd. In fact, they don’t have a Shepherd at all because the nature of a goat is to resist and to “Butt”. They won’t be led by anyone.
A Shepherd is a guide and a protector of the sheep. He risks and oftentimes gives his life to protect them. Who is my shepherd? The LORD is my Shepherd. I shall NOT want…I will dwell in the house of the LORD forever. (Psalm 23)
What does this say about Jesus? It says that He wants us, in fact, prefers us to totally and completely trust and depend on Him. That he knows we have these weaknesses that we are uncomfortable with and even plagued by. Yes, he knows we are weak! He declared in His Word, “…without me, ye can do nothing” (John 15:5). But he is ready, willing and able to take these things on and to protect us and deliver us. He wants us to allow Him to be “The Good Shepherd”.
Jesus is the Judge
Mat 25:31 When the Son of man shall come in his glory, and all the holy angels with him, then shall he sit upon the throne of his glory:
Mat 25:32 And before him shall be gathered all nations: and he shall separate them one from another, as a shepherd divideth his sheep from the goats:
What Destiny Has Been Determined for “Goats”?
o And he shall set the sheep on his right hand, BUT the goats on the left. (Mat. 25:33)
Mat 25:41 Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels:
Mat 25:42 For I was an hungred, and ye gave me no meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me no drink:
Mat 25:43 I was a stranger, and ye took me not in: naked, and ye clothed me not: sick, and in prison, and ye visited me not.
Mat 25:44 Then shall they also answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, or athirst, or a stranger, or naked, or sick, or in prison, and did not minister unto thee?
Mat 25:45 Then shall he answer them, saying, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye did it not to one of the least of these, ye did it not to me.
Mat 25:46 And these shall go away into everlasting punishment: but the righteous into life eternal.
